We all know the importance of a good education. What no one tells us is that we have a huge number of education options to choose from.

Most of us grow up thinking that we graduate high school, go to college, then go to work. Today, that equation is not so simple.

First, not everyone wants to go to college. For these individuals, vocational education or on-the-job training might be a better choice.

Second, not everyone wants to or can attend a brick-and-mortar college. You work full-time or have family commitments that prevent you from going to campus. Or, you live too far, the school is in an unsavory part of town. Lots of reasons exist not to attend traditional college.

Finally, everyone learns differently. The high school, college, work equation is too one-size-fits-all.

So, what education options are there?
  • Traditional college
  • Distance learning
  • Military training
  • Vocational education
  • On the job training
Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Why don't you check out the ones that interest you? Who knows, you might find a way to get that advanced degree or learn that trade, just like you always wanted.
