Every line of work is affected by technology. As we advance, so do the machines we work with each day. It can get downright overwhelming.

Can you stay on top of these technological advances?

Yes, and it's easier than you think. You can also use these advances to your advantage. You can:

  • Make yourself a more valuable employee
  • Teach others how to use new hardware or software
  • Get more work done better and faster than before
These are just three examples of the benefits of staying on top of advances in computers, cell phones and other devices you use at work. Depending on your field, there could be hundreds of advantages.

Begin with the basics.

What computers does your workplace use? How new are they? How familiar are you with the programs they run?

Does your company issue cell phones or smart phones to employees? Do you make the most of yours? Even your personal cell phone can make you a better employee.
